Donau-Schiffahrts-Museum Regensburg (DSMR)

The Donau-Schiffahrts-Museum Regensburg (Regensburg Danube Navigation Museum) is located aboard two historic vessels: the paddle-wheel steamer "Ruthof-Érsekcsanád" (built in 1922) and the motor train tug "Freudenau" (built in 1942). Both have been painstakingly renovated. A large number of original rooms are accessible to visitors. The steam engine and diesel engine take up a lot of space. The motor tug is even drivable and occasionally used for excursions. Dioramas, models, and display boards on board the steamer provide insight into the history of navigation on the German-language stretch of the Danube.
