Neupfarrplatz

The Place of Peaceful Encounter by Israeli sculptor Dani Karavan marks the ground plan of the medieval synagogue at Neupfarrplatz and commemorates the coexistence of Jews and Christians in Regensburg.

 Thundorferstraße 3 

One of the oldest bratwurst kitchens in the world, directly on the Danube, a popular snack spot for workers and travelers since the Middle Ages.

The so-called “Roman Tower” at the Old Kornmarkt is a medieval keep from the Duke’s former palace and provides insights into medieval construction.

Der ursprüngliche Zweck der mittelalterlichen Steinsäule ist nicht eindeutig geklärt – sie könnte als Predigtort, Denkmal oder Hoheitszeichen gedient haben. Zur Reformationszeit galt sie oft als Symbol öffentlicher Verkündigung.

Three large sections of the Roman legionary camp wall in Regensburg have been preserved and are open to the public in the "document Legionslagermauer" (Legionary Camp Wall). They are part of Bavaria's largest Roman exhibition.
