“Der Dackel – Eine Weltanschauung” (The Dachshund – A World View) – is presented in an extraordinary exhibition from the world's largest collection with over 30,000 dachshund objects. This unique life's work is recognized in Bavaria as a cultural history museum. The dachshund among the aristocracy, the dachshund in hunting, the dachshund and beer, Gustl Bayrhammer with Pumuckl and "Hausmeister Krause" (from the famous German children’s show starting in the 1980s) are among the highlights, as is the 1972 Olympic dachshund "Waldi." All are lovingly presented here with a wink and a great deal of feeling for the dachshund, who represents Bavaria like no other.
