Lenbachhaus und Kunstbau

The Lenbachhaus displays the world's largest collection of works by Der Blaue Reiter. Works by Kandinsky, Münter, Marc, and their contemporaries provide insight into one of the most exciting phases of modernism. Art history comes alive in the rooms of this former artists' villa. A site to see, understand, and stay a while. Also on display are “Was zu verschwinden droht” (What Threatens to Disappear) with works from the 19th century and “Shifting the Silence” featuring contemporary art.
