When it comes to Greek ceramics, the State Collections of Antiquities house some of the most important exhibits in the world. The undeniable masterpiece is the Exekias bowl, probably the most famous Greek vase of all. The museum's archaeologists will introduce you to this and other highlights during guided tours. Two special exhibitions, “Forma” and “Unsere Mythen – unsere Wurzeln”(Our Myths – Our Roots), will showcase examples of ancient vase painting and the contemporary art of making medals.
