The European Patent Office (EPO) has been located in the heart of the city since its inception. Many Munich residents will immediately think of the high-rise building on the Isar River, built by the architectural firm Von Gerkan, Marg and Partners, which, along with the sculpture park, is now a listed structure. The EPO will be reopening its headquarters for the Long Night to present highlights of its contemporary art collection from more than 45 years of history and offer insights into exciting concepts for using its historic premises. Don't miss the Schaulager, featuring more than 350 works from the collection, and the "Cosmic Bar" in the cultural space in the basement, designed by Esther Stocker (see illustration).
