ViktualienmarktStarts 8:30 pm: A synagogue, literally a place of gathering (for prayer), is of crucial importance to Jewish life. This lecture will explain the name "Ohel Jacob," architectural features, and the role of music. The synagogue choir "Shema Kaulenu" (Hebrew: Hear My Voice) will also give a mini-concert. The Einstein Restaurant in the Jewish Community Center will offer kosher delicacies until 10 pm.
