Museum Villa Stuck

After a closure for technical renovations, the Museum Villa Stuck has reopened, its facades, architectural sculptures, and the expanded artist's garden all shining in new splendor. The historic rooms feature new furnishings, new wall hangings, and new works. In addition, the Museum Villa Stuck is presenting two special exhibitions to mark its reopening: “Chicks on Speed. Utopia” is a journey through time and into the future of the influential art collective, which has enjoyed international renown since its founding at the Munich Academy 30 years ago for collaboratively and radically combining art, music, performance, fashion, and activism. At the same time, “Louise Giovanelli. A Song of Ascents” offers a glimpse into a leading figure in youthful British painting. Her luminous works oscillate between stage settings, glamour, and collective rituals amid promise and abyss.
